into position. Plastic stanchions can be placed anywhere along the chain. |

Links can
be cut with a pair of wire cutters and re-connected
with S-hook or connecting link. With the base
empty the entire unit weighs 3 lbs. |

The tube
locks into the base. For additional stability,
fill the base of the unit with gravel, sand or concrete.
For maximum stability it is advisable to fill the tube
6 - 8 inches above the base. |
| How
to Assemble Plastic Stanchions
|
 |
| 1. |
If
you desire more weight in base, fill completely
with gravel, sand or concrete. Most
people don't fill with anything. |
| 2. |
For
permanent assembly, push post over the center
column of base and twist until lock lugs
on base snap into rectangular holes in post.
Place in desired location once all three
components are locked into place. |
|
Note:
Attempting to disassemble stanchion may
cause breakage. For temporary assembly,
push post over the center column of base
and slide long slotted areas over lock lugs. |
| 3. |
Drop
chain in slot at the top of post and adjust
sway for uniform appearance. Excess
chain can be stored inside of post or cut
off with wire cutters or garden shears.
Additional chain can be connected with s-hook
or connecting links, or place two unconnected
ends inside the stanchion. |
| 4. |
Then
place cap onto post by aligning slots and
pushing down until lock lugs snap into place. |
